Update on Masks

30th of January 2023

Dear Friends, Family Members and Representatives,

Subject: Masks

Firstly, we would like to thank everyone for their cooperation with wearing surgical masks as a form of protection for both yourselves, our Staff, and our Residents. We understand it has been a very trying time for everyone, but the health and wellbeing of our Staff and Residents is paramount.

Secondly, we have now evaluated the risks of continuing to wear surgical masks, and after consultation with the CEO and the Department of Health, we feel confident that we can relax our rules of wearing masks at all times whilst on the premises. We still encourage everyone to wear their mask, but it is not mandatory. We would also like to take this opportunity to remind everyone to attend to your own Rapid Antigen Test upon entry to the Home; as failure to do this may result in your entry to our Home being refused.

Please remember, if you have any symptoms of the common cold, influenza or COVID19, please refrain from visiting our Home until you are well again.

If we have a suspected or confirmed case of COVID19 within the Home through a Resident or Staff Member, then we will immediately return to wearing surgical masks.

Kind regards

Leonie Gibbons

Residential Care Manager
