COVID19 Update and Entry Requirements

07.02.2023

Dear Family Member,

Firstly, I would like to thank both family members and residents for your upmost cooperation since the COVID 19 was introduced to us.
I now, feel competent in allowing visitors into the facility with NO restrictions on visiting hours.

  • Unfortunately, it will be a requirement that any visitor to the facility, is required to have a RAT (Rapid Antigen Test) prior to visiting and the proof needs to be shown to the RN on duty to gain entry.
  • Residents who leave the facility, will still be required to take a RAT (Rapid Antigen Test), on return to the facility.

We are also asking that family members, understand and respect this decision and will abide with the above, without annoyance.
We also would like to ask that visitors please assist us in maintaining the health and safety of our residents and staff with vaccination of Influenza and COVID, although this is now not a requirement.

We understand that COVID-19 is still around so we do ask:

  • If you have had close contact with someone who has COVID-19, you are at an increased risk of getting COVID-19. Close contact includes living with or having spent a lot of time indoors with someone with COVID-19.
  • People with COVID-19 are considered infectious two days before their symptoms started, or two days before their positive COVID-19 test was taken if they have no noticeable symptoms.

If you are a close contact, there are important things you can do to reduce the risk to others:

  • If you are informed that you are a close contact or have visited the home in the past 48 hours, please contact us immediately.

Please feel free to contact me for any clarification.

Kind regards
