Residential Aged Care Visitor Update 1st February 2022

1st February 2022

Dear Family Member,

I would like to thank everyone who has been accepting of our current visiting hours. Unfortunately, these hours will remain until further notice.

The reason you are receiving this documentation today is to inform you that the Emergency Management (Residential Aged Care Facilities No 46 (COVID19) Directions 2022) signed on the 29/01/2022, has now indicated anyone who visits a Residential Aged care Facility is require to receive the COVID19 Booster Vaccine.

General limitations to persons who may enter RACF:

(6) A person is vaccinated against COVID19 for the purpose of this clause if the person has received at least two doses of a COVID19 vaccine approved by the TGA or all dosage of a recognised COVID19 vaccine in accordance with dosage schedule recommended by ATAGI for that vaccine, and within the prescribed time, receives their dose (booster of a TGA approved COVID19 vaccine).

**PLEASE NOTE IF YOU HAVE NOT HAD YOUR COVID19 BOOSTER WITHIN THE 4 MONTHS FROM YOUR SECOND COVID19 VACCINATION, YOU WILL NOT BE GRANTED ENTRY INTO THE FACILITY**

**If you have already had your booster vaccination, please ensure a copy is sent/given to the administration team at your earliest convenience to gain entry into the facility**

We are also asking that family members understand and respect this decision, and will abide with the above without annoyance.

Please remain safe and well through this difficult time of the unawareness, with hope that we will all have an enjoyable outcome to this illness soon.

With any changes to any of the above, I will again contact you via letter.

Please feel free to contact me for clarification.

Kind regards

Leonie Gibbons
