Clinical Manager (RN3)

The Willochra Home in Crystal Brook is looking for a motivated and results driven Clinical Manager, who is passionate, innovative, and is willing to work in a dynamic growing aged care facility in the beautiful country side in the Mid North of South Australia.

We require a team player who can demonstrate compassion, sensitivity, and maturity, whilst supporting, mentoring and leading a multi-skilled team, and has a keen interest in providing ongoing education for staff and proactive in leading our traineeships programs. 

The Willochra Home is a NFP 42 bed Residential Aged Care facility that is moving toward a dynamic future in aged care.

As the Clinical Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Under the guidance of the Residential Care Manager, ensuring the facility functions in line with Residential Aged Care Quality Standards, Legislation and best practice guidelines, as well as ongoing quality improvements
  • Provide clinical leadership, support, mentoring and education to the clinical and care teams through the staff development program
  • Supervise and drive the provision of high-quality care and clinical services
  • Exceptional communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with staff, residents and their families
  • Workings towards or has an acceptable Infection Prevention and Control qualification
  • Ensure the clinical audit schedule is undertaken in a timely manner with appropriate actions taken to ensure compliance
  • Assist nursing staff with documenting and reporting Falls, Medications, Wounds and Infection Control for the 3 monthly Clinical Governance reports. 
  • Liaise with Allied Health, Medical Practitioners and other members of the care team to proactively review clinical care
  • Ensuring all clinical policies, processes and procedures are followed correctly.
  • Supporting care and nursing staff to promote a confident and contented work environment, and will step in to help the team in a hands-on capacity whenever and wherever needed

Requirements of this role:

  • Bachelor of Nursing
  • Registration with AHPRA
  • Significant post registration experience in an Aged Care setting
  • Effective teamwork and relationship building skills
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills
  • ACFI and Quality improvement experience
  • Management and leadership skills
  • Sound computer literacy skills – Microsoft, LeeCare
  • Christian ethos
